Let me first say we enjoyed our stay. We wanted to be closer to nature and the beach, and we achieved that. Here's a few things we took note of. PROS nice, family oriented neighborhood Relatively close to the beach (10 min walk) Clean, fully stocked with linens and necessities 3 level and spacious layout, with decks for each bedroom Open areas outside and around the unit plenty of space for gathering and/or grilling CONS For some unknown reason, the "master bedroom" DOES NOT HAVE A DOOR. Please be aware of this because if privacy is something you expect, just know that the master bedroom suite is open, so privacy is not something that you will get. It's designed like this btw. Pests - it's understood being on an island like Cape San blas right next to the state park and wildlife reserve that pests are all around you. But, I still think seeing several pests daily means the property likely needs a little bit stronger form of pest control than what they're using. Dated - this property is very dated. The furniture, decorations, and electronics are also very dated. Not a modernized feel. Not a real issue, but something we took note of. I would suggest this property as I mentioned if you're traveling in a situation where you don't need any real privacy, and you want to be a little bit closer to the state park. If that fits your needs, it'll be right up your alley!- Posted: 7/5/2023
Had a great stay in Cape San Blas. Check in was easy, location was great and the condo was very nice.- Posted: 3/28/2023
the apartment was clean. we were kindly given a apartment close to the play ground and were still within walking distance to the pool and beach. I would have appreciated a more pronounced notice that there would be NO extra toilet paper, trash bags, or paper towels. Kitchen supplies were adequate and appliances worked well. The bigger bed was a little squeaky and with no door to our room.... little privacy.- Posted: 3/23/2023
The unit left a little to be desired but overall the location was great and the community is wonderful. Will probably look for an updated unit in the same area.- Posted: 7/18/2022
The property was perfect for our family of 5. Beautiful view of the sunrise on the bay.- Posted: 5/19/2022
We loved the location and the size of the unit, but there are some upgrades that need to be finished. The rust on the refrigerator was kind of gross and the grill on the deck was unusable. I also would love to see the peeling wallpaper replaced in the master bath. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the unit and can really see its potential. Honestly, it would be the perfect unit to buy and make our own. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Dawson and the staff at Pristine Properties were outstanding! Let me tell you about our Labor Day Weekend plans. We rented a house on Dauphin Island. It was hit by Hurricane Ida--flooded, no electricity, no water, no sewer. We found out 2 days before we were supposed to leave. We booked a house on Cape San Blas. VRBO had a glitch and double booked the house. We were 2 hours away from checking in when we found out the house was double booked. It could have been one more thing going wrong in our vacation nightmare! Cape San Blas rentals worked with Dawson and Pristine Properties to find us a condo on Cape San Blas. Dawson rescued our Labor Day Weekend get-a-way and helped us have a wonderful family vacation!

We really enjoyed our condo. The community was so quiet and beautiful. Easy to get in and out. Our condo was very clean and easily accessible to everything. The beds were also comfortable. If you're a light sleeper, bring a fan. The frogs are a little loud at night depending on the time of year.- Posted: 7/7/2021

For the price, the location and design of the unit was great. The unit needs some TLC and maintenance, but for a lower price point really didn’t have any fatal flaws. Pristine Properties responded quickly to our needs. Similarly, VayK Gear responded promptly to ensure that the gear we were using was in good order. We would certainly use Pristine Properties and VayK Gear again, and like Barrier Dunes on Cape San Blas. We will probably target a different unit next time, but wouldn’t rule this one out.

Thank you for your feedback. The deck has been checked and it is up to code in terms of safety.

I would not rent this unit again unless there were some improvements made. The overall unit could use paint and updating. One bedroom did not have a lamp at all and the master bedroom had no lampshades. The kitchen is very minimally stocked, and decks in need of upkeep. The sliding door on the main floor was almost impossible to open and close. I would not recommend this unit. I’ve rented lots of beach homes over the years, considering the price, proximity to the beach(which I knew when rented) it is by far one of the worst we’ve ever encountered. The AC unit could be updated also, it rarely cooled off upstairs with one unit for 3 floors.
