The place was very nice, well decorated and equipped, close to the beach and close to the tennis courts where we parked our boat and trailer. We really enjoyed the nice showers, the screened in porch, the nice gas grill and the fast internet. We also appreciated the multiple homages to Chase, we're sorry your puppy is no longer with us but, ours enjoyed sharing his place. The upstairs HVAC went out the day before we were to check out but, they had someone there within hours to take care of it. Would definitely recommend and will most likely be back. We had a great week!- Posted: 6/6/2023
We have been to Barrier Dunes many times, but this was our first time staying in this condo, and it didn't disappoint! The unit was comfortable, inviting, relaxing, and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We greatly appreciated that this unit is dog-friendly as we were able to bring our 13-year-old Chocolate Lab, who also loves the beach. The only area of improvement that I would recommend is that the cleaning crew do a better job of mopping the floors. There were still coffee spills and sticky places on the floor when we arrived. (This isn't a negative reflection on the unit or on the owners. It is just an area for the cleaning crew to improve upon.) We will definitely be back!- Posted: 9/6/2022
We had an amazing time! Love how close it is to the beach and dog friendly. We will be back- Posted: 6/15/2022
Very clean space. Was perfect for the 5 of us. The top floor master suite was great and private!- Posted: 4/25/2022
Nice property. Easy access to the pool, tennis and beach. Property is a little dated, but ok. Kitchen utensils lacking and could use a refresh. Gas grill worked, but was filthy. Grill tools and cleaning brushes would be a nice thing to add. Nice that each bedroom had a bath and a TV. TV wiring is a nightmare though and all the TV's are from the stoneage. Had to replace all batteries in the remotes. I'd get someone to upgrade that and wire it professionaly. All in all, its a solid rental property and I would rent it again. Being a rental property owner myself, I hope you appreciate the candor of my responses as constructive. My family and I had a great time.

It appears that these units are individually owned and rented out. So, the upkeep and updating of each unit is dependent on the actual owner.

You are correct, each unit within Barrier Dunes and actually all of our rental properties, are individually owned. This means they are furnished, decorated, and updated to the individual owner's standards.

The location of the condo & your maintenance is why we would rent again.

Old Floridan style with brass fixtures, so a bit out dated. Old TVs, 1990 style. Nice location, was very clean!

We’ve been coming to Barrier Dunes for years, but this place was a mess. Ceilings falling down, peeling/stained paint and wall paper, stained/moldy floors, toilet paper holders and towel racks falling off the walls, rusty vents, moldy shower curtains. This unit has had minimal upkeep over the years. Disappointing. Will not rent this unit again and would not recommend it!- Posted: 6/2/2021
We're sorry to hear about your disappointment with this unit. We will certainly address these issues at the property and with the property owners. Your feedback is appreciated and we hope to see you return to another unit in Barrier Dunes in the future.

Barrier Dunes is well maintained. Been coming here for 25 years and the HOA does a good job with grounds, amenities, and upkeep. Hurricane Michael was a setback but they seem to be recovering nicely.

Needs updated, but a great location.

Lots of updates needed. Air filter was quite nasty. Air vent were rusty. Blinds missing several slats. Patio door on 2nd level doesn't shut properly when not locked. No hot water for entire stay. Overall needs updating. There is a musty smell throughout and is especially strong on the first floor. I'm sure the carpet is the culprit.

Nice property that allows dogs. Watch out for achilles on stairs. People have dinged the place for needed maintenance but it was all just fine other than B the curling stair covers but it wouldn’t stop us from returning.- Posted: 4/3/2021
Our stay at Barrier Dunes was satisfying. The unit we were in had wall paper pealing, all floors except one showed water damage, the ceiling in2 rooms was hanging, no working screens and the furniture fabric is old and uncomfortable. The walls need paint. The view and the location is what drew us back to same unit other years but we will not be returning to this unit next year due to poor upkeep.

Really liked the close proximity to the beach! Barrier Dunes is a great condo community! Nice deck that was covered and screened in, although a little too hot to enjoy other than early morning.- Posted: 9/23/2020
What a joy this property was! Newly renovated, comfortable beds, and a sweet backstory about their dog Chase. We soooo enjoyed being able to bring our big and gentle lab-mix. It made our vacation so much more like family time! Thank you again for a lovely stay! We would love to come back!- Posted: 9/4/2020
The location with all decks facing the gulf is a bonus. The condo was very clean but definitely could use a coat of paint and updated furniture.- Posted: 3/21/2020
Nice, clean property. Could use some cosmetic updating - paint and wallpaper.- Posted: 1/2/2020
Such a great location and an easy walk to the beach! We loved that we were able to bring our pup with us! Everyone had a great time!- Posted: 9/6/2019
