Description

Sun Chaser is a gulf front, 4 bedroom single family home located on the North End of Cape San Blas, just passed the rock wall. The location is ideal for anyone coming on vacation as it is directly beach front, but very near a kayak launch into the St. Joseph Bay as well as the conveniences of Scallop Cove’s General Store, Beach Rentals and Bait & Tackle Shop. Jump on the bike path across the street from the house and you can explore the length of the peninsula up close and personally.

This home is pet friendly and comes complete with a gate on the gulf front deck allowing you to have easy access to the beach while keeping it safe for little children and pets. The gulf front deck is quite roomy and has beautiful views of the beach and water. You can almost reach out and touch it.

Inside the home the main level is an open area concept and there are also two bedrooms on this level, one with great views of the Bay. Upstairs there are two more bedrooms allowing everyone to spread out and feel comfortable. Get the whole group together and make plans to visit Sun Chaser on Cape San Blas.

Floor Plan: ground level-covered, paved parking and outdoor shower. 1st level – gulf front living room with access to furnished deck, TV, blu-Ray, VCR and sleeper sofa; kitchen, dining area, full bath with shower only, laundry closet, Bedroom 1 with queen bed and TV; and Bedroom 2 with king bed, walk-in closet, TV and full bath with shower/tub combo. 2nd level – Bedroom 3 with queen bed, single day bed and TV; full bath with shower/tub combo and Bedroom 4 – gulf front bedroom with king bed, TV and gulf front deck.

Great Beach & Gulf Views

We had a great time staying at Sun Chaser.The location, beach and views are a 5. Right on the gulf with sunset views. Good house layout, including upstairs bedroom with gulf view. House has new sliding glass doors. Even better if glass was clean. Good mix of pots and pans and appliances. Not enough silverware, glasses or bowls. Check the list of items the renter needs to bring. It's quite long, including TP and garbage bags after the initial ONE is used up. Beach chairs can be rented. House could use some general updating and a new bed in the 1st floor master. Rental agency was quick to respond to our questions and problems.

The Great- Beautiful location, private beach and very quiet. Outside shower and hose is awesome. Pristine was very helpful and friendly. The Good- beach is nice but not a ton of sand for your kids to play on. The path to the beach needs some clearing out some. The Bad- The house is just outdated and needs a few things addressed. Some TLC would do this place some wonders!

Beautiful views and great location but the owners have not updated in many years. The home is not as clean as I would have expected. Extreme aging of the furniture and fixtures and at this point, more is needed than just a scrubbing.

Overall we loved the views and water front access. For that alone we would rent it again. But the property needs some upgrades. Cabinets need some paint and new hardware, appliances need replacing, living room furniture needs replacing, Some color in the decor, and some outside furniture(with some weight to them so you don't sit in them and break them), Both couches were broken and nasty. The risers on the stairs going to deck very worn (might need some attention)..

Clean, cozy beach house with fantastic views! Furniture has seen better days (both couches broken/sagging). Kitchen is well stocked but pots/pans are well worn. Overall a pleasant experience but could use a few more thoughtful touches and attention to detail to really make it an exceptional experience. The views and beach access are worth the price!

We never ran out of hot water and the water pressure was wonderful. The location is very good also. Lots of privacy on the beach. Providing wifi and netflix was greatly appreciated. The house was clean.

Overall, the home was amazing just by location. The layout is nice with plenty of bathrooms. We had a great time and would go back in a heartbeat, and I give it 5 stars.
For those who are picky or have very high standards, be warned it’s definite not “pristine”. The home has quite a few maintenance issues (think peeling paint, screws sticking up from weathered deck boards, etc) and our mattress was pretty awful. Grill utensils rusty and useless, no basic items like salt/pepper are provided in the kitchen. However, it had all the essentials and you can’t beat this location!

House is clean and spacious! We had everything we needed. Right on the beach and beautiful views from every window!!!

The only thing we didn’t really like, that the kitchen and living room was on 3rd floor:( so we have to go upstairs and downstairs hundreds time a day! Lol and it can be really big problem for older people! Also we don’t like that the whole house was carpet floors. Otherwise we enjoyed our vacation!!!

Amethyst Cove

The house , view, & amenities are great except for the "couches", They are wore out.!!! Very uncomfortable, you sink down so much it feels like you are sitting in a birds nest..Only other seats are wood chairs & that gets hard quick.

This house has a great view and is very comfortable. The beds were great. We only sleep there as part of a bigger team to help rebuild. It was easy to rent, check in and out. It was all done on the phone and emails. Great places to eat were close by. Plenty of beach frontage and hiking trails and an eagle greeted us each morning from the tree top next door

A Walk On The Cape

Our time spent at the Cape was lovely. The home was very modern and clean with great decor. All the beautiful beach canvases throughout the home added a wonderful touch. The view and space are both spectacular. We had everything we needed and more!

Fantastic place to stay. Can’t get any better with the location! The house is right on the beach and the beach has a very relaxed, private feel. There is a hose and private outdoor shower to wash sand off before entering the house. Plenty of space for a family or big group. And plenty of amenities such as dishwasher, coffee maker, and laundry area that make it feel like home. Just a short drive to local the grocery store. We really enjoyed the experience! Absolutely recommend.
