Description

A perfect family getaway!! Escape to WindScape! This home offers an open floor plan with high ceilings for unbelievable views of the Gulf of Mexico. It is a single level home on pilings and all doorways and halls are wheelchair accessible. There is decking all across the gulfside of the house with a portion of it screened for comfortable outdoor meals. If you’re the one who has to work while on vacation, what better place to do that than at a desk facing three windows looking out over the gulf. Outside you will also find a lower level deck, outdoor shower and a private walkover to the beach.

Floor Plan: Ground level-Covered, paved parking. 1st level-right as you enter you’ll find an office area with work desk, custom shelving with books, puzzles and games; laundry room, open kitchen area, dining area which opens onto the screened porch; gulf front living room with large flat screen TV, DVD and opens onto the deck. Bedroom 1 – gulf front master bedroom with king bed, walk-in closet, entrance to open deck and large master bath with an oversized whirlpool tub and separate shower; Bedroom 2-king bed; full bath and Bedroom 3 - 2 double beds.

Had a great time!

We enjoyed our stay. It was very child friendly and the pool was perfect for them. The short walk to beach was also very nice. Views of the beach were amazing from the decks of the house. We loved having different balconies to view from. It was very nice to rent beach items such as chairs and umbrellas.

Overall we liked this house a lot. The layout is good (each room is a healthy size- the 2 without beach views share a hallway bathroom, and the beach view room is the master an en suite bath). The kitchen, dining, and living is all one open room, which worked great for us. The beds and couches were comfortable and felt clean. The kitchen was pretty well equipped, and I saw a few nonporous metal pots/pans if that's important to you for dietary reasons. There are shaded and non-shaded areas of the deck, which we (and the dogs) appreciated along with the recess, where you can be outside but escape some of the wind. The house felt clean, and the flooring is updated. There were a couple soft spots in the floor. The indoor dining table was a good size. This is like a true traditional vacation rental vs airbnb style in that you need to use a separate client portal for information and need to bring all essentials (dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, etc). There is not a hot tub as currently listed in the amenities section, they have a large jacuzzi tub in the master en suite. The house is pet friendly, but does require an additional fee payable directly to the management company. We brought 2 dogs, and our fee was $262.50. Not a deal breaker or anything, but we would have preferred to see it in the listing up front. If your party includes young children, older, or disabled members, you may want to know that the dunes were just restored very high directly behind the home making beach access more challenging. It was quite tough for our parents and me to navigate every time we wanted to get the beach and back, and even my husband (fit in his late 20s) agreed it was pretty difficult. Perhaps this will settle some with time and rain, or a boardwalk will be built. I'm not great at estimating measurements, but if I was standing on the beach looking to the house at the base of the dune, I could not see the lower half of the house. I'm about five and a half feet tall. There was some loud, all-day beach construction related to this near the house which was unfortunate for us, but should be completed soon if it's not already. If the access was made easier, we would definitely stay here again.

Unbeatable location. Great family beach. Open floor plan, adorable furnishings, plenty of room for up to 6 comfortably. Plenty of cooking utensils, fantastic deck, will stay here again!

Amazing Week!

Our family truly enjoyed our group vacation to the beach! This was our first time to the area. We loved the spaciousness of the home and the beach alike. We will be back!

Yellow Bird is in the perfect location. The walk to the beach was easy. The house was well equipped and comfortable, and the pool and pool area was amazing!

The home was great, its exactly where we wanted to be and made the reservation quick. Property management was on the ball, I called about a broken coffee pot and they had it delivered the next morning. There is a stuck open window in the master downstairs. The pool area is not kept up, toys and things everywhere. Home didn't have paper towels or a small dish soap which was surprising. We loved our trip though, we knew what we were getting into with such short notice.

Unbelievable beach front location! Quiet and relaxing area. Hard to beat the 5 minute bike ride to the Indian Pass Raw Bar!

the exterior was a little weather worn, so we were apprehensive, but it was fantastic! The distance to the beach was far better than expected, and the kitchen we so well equipped, it impressed a bunch of great cooks. We wanted for nothing!!

What an amazing location and view. It was a very private lot with pleasant neighbors and an incredible view of the gulf. Sunrise and sunset with the beach right outside the doorway. The beaches were pretty empty and we felt we had lots of personal space (can't say that for many beaches in Florida). We drove around the area a fair amount and felt that this was one of the better locations. The house had a lot of amenities and it was easy to pick up supplies in the surrounding villages. It was incredibly private and just the type of getaway we were looking for.
